Socialization
Socialization is critical at this period in your puppy's life, and a structured, positive socialization plan will set them up for success. Socialization goes beyond meeting people and other dogs, it also includes sounds, surfaces, body handling, grooming, and different environments. When you work with Click With Your Dog, you will learn how to properly socialize your puppy in a safe and positive way.
Manners & Life Skills
Your puppy will learn important skills to help them grow into a well-adjusted dog. This includes basic obedience foundations like responding to their name, coming when called, and how to walk on a leash. Your puppy will also learn important house manners, including polite greetings, settling in the house, crate training or x-pen training, potty training, and how to be confident being alone. You will also learn how to deal with common puppy issues, including biting, chewing, and picking up objects, as well as how to set them up for success during adolescence.

Obedience training covers skills including:

Manners & life skills cover behaviors including polite greetings (no jumping on your guests or pulling you to greet other dogs), integrating dogs into households with children or other pets, house training and crate training, and problem-solving common issues like barking, door bolting, and hyperactive behavior in the home.
Proofing
Once your dog has learned the basics, the next step is proofing those behaviors. This involves teaching them to do these behaviors around various distractions, at a distance, and for longer periods of time. At Click With Your Dog, we get your dog out into the community to practice their skills around the distractions they will encounter in real life.

Management & Structure
The first step in any behavioral modification plan is implementing management strategies. The goal of management is to prevent negative behaviors from being rehearsed and reinforced while you are working on behavior change. We will also go over appropriate enrichment and exercise for your individual dogs and any changes that may need to be made. Depending on behavior, your dog may need a vet visit and/or a pain management trial before beginning training.
Desensitization and Counterconditioning
Behavior modification plans focus on changing how your dog feels about their individual triggers. Your training plan will cover how to prevent unwanted behaviors from being rehearsed, while also teaching the behaviors that you want your dog to do instead.

Socialization & Obedience Training
Socialization and obedience training are the foundation you will need to build with your dog before they begin task training or public access training. Obedience skills are used to build tasks. Before beginning public access, your dog should be able t perform basic and advanced obedience skills in pet friendly environments.
Public Access Training
Public access training is the longest portion of service dog training, and the most difficult. Dogs must be neutral in public towards other dogs, people, and distractions. Public access training begins once your dog is confident in pet friendly environments.
Task Training
Task training is what makes your dog a service dog. A service dogs' tasks must mitigate your specific disability. Click With Your Dog trains mobility assistance dogs, autism service dogs, psychiatric service dogs, and medical response service dogs, and combinations of those categories for disabled adults. You should have a general idea of what tasks would benefit you before getting started, but tasks can also be suggested for your symptoms if you are unsure.
