Force Free training means that the methods used to teach your dog will never include aversive tools, corrections, or punishment/fear based techniques. Instead, I use positive reinforcement methods to teach dogs that the behaviors we want, will lead to good things for them.
I am certified through Karen Pryor Academy, KPA-CTP #77915
I am also a member of the Pet Professional Guild, and I attend many continuing education events throughout the year to keep my education current.
Private lessons focus on what you want to learn with your dog, including leash walking, recall, obedience, tricks, house training, polite greetings, and crate training. If your dog needs to work on barking, growling, or lunging at other dogs or animals, please select a reactive dog package. See price list for packages.
This course selection is for dogs who bark, growl, and/or lunge at dogs, animals, vehicles, etc. The main focus of this course is desensitizing and counterconditioning your dog to their triggers, but other behaviors will/can be taught as well, for example, relax on a bed, loose leash walking, recall, etc. This course is a minimum of six lessons, focused on behavior modification.
This course requires prior approval. An evaluation and behavioral/medical history of your dog is required to begin service dog training as well as a detailed description of what tasks you plan/want to train. I train for both public access and task work, though I do not train for scent alerts or bracing. Please contact me for more information.
